@pureEVA Isn’t Beast a Prince? O_o like before he was cursed to be a beast…It’s been ages since I’ve seen any of the disney films. x.x I forget a lot…of stuff. lol Except the Lion King, cause it’s my favorite film.
Sleeping Beauty is probably the only Disney princess movie (pre Little Mermaid) where the prince actually has a personality, let alone a speaking part! One of the many reasons I still love this film so much today
@hole1991 Hmmm! What’s odd is that when I went to a Disney setup where they sort of had a special on Sleeping Beauty where you sat down and showed us clips of the making of the movie as well as added information of their own. They had explained to us that they specifically chose Mary Costa because at the time they were to record her voice, she was the same age as Aurora! I wonder then if they recorded her voice several years after she was 16,
@bunnialchemistmeep
I don’t know, I guess what animated Disney films like these act as coming of age story where a child becomes an adult and traditionally in fairy tales, this is achieved by experiencing romantic awakening. I like how Disney of the 90′s and 00′s have films like Mulan and The Princess and the Frog, where love is something which comes into it, but it also involves working hard and finding your own self worth and becoming a rounded person.
@xlefreakcestchic
Um, I’m sorry but I have looked it up and the voices were recorded in 1952, when Mary Costa was 21/22 years old (she was born in 1930).
I don’t know where you got your information from, but it might be of dubious validity (then again, mine might be too, but in between the Disney Legends website, last.fm website, imdb and wikipedia, I have found complimentary information, so I’m going to have to disagree with you)
Dude, this is the REAL disney, i honestly don’t know what that shit we have now a days is, but i DEFINITELY should not be considered disney. Whatever happened to magical moments and dreams coming true? Now all we have is crappy t.v shows about a dumb ass country girl who thinks she can sing, and couple of brothers that are in a band. There aren’t any of those classic disney moments in any of those shows. What have they done to poor Walt Disney’s name? I bet if he were alive, he would cry.
i love the rabbits!
LOL omg, her face was like ” what the fuck?!”

ROFLMAO at the owl at the very end!

She is so BORING. My least favorite of the Disney Princesses.
@hole1991 and they just meant they had chosen her because she WAS sixteen. Sleeping Beauty was in production for a long time.

I would be so embarrassed if I were caught dancing with an owl lol
