I need to confess that I have always been a fan of low carb diets that work. My personal training clients are consistently coming to me for advice on diets, and often I will suggest a low carb diet plan. Sadly, some of them do not heed ALL of my directions whilst on the diet plan. The result being that they knowledge frequent plateaus, and inconsistent weight loss. I usually discover that most of them are making this 1 big mistake!

Throughout the course of just about any diet plan, there are periods of time when an individual is following the plan, and not losing any weight. These frustrating periods of time are generally referred to as a plateau.
