Mom recently sent me a Sams Club membership card, so I finally headed over to stock up on some stuff I use regularly.. So for bucks I’m stocked for months now on some food items I commonly use. :)

I make bread pretty often, pasta (I make a pretty damn good meat sauce) and chili (in the crock pot, with beans even though I live in Texas) pretty frequently, and I try to eat oatmeal for breakfast since it’s good for the cholesterol and all that.

I picked up 5 3.5gal food-grade buckets to store the stuff in since it’s gonna take me months to cook and eat the stuff. :)

If you know how to cook it’s also a good way to store food for unexpected situations, natural disasters, etc. There are companies that sell storable food, and it’s usually convenience stuff like Mac & Cheese and the instant stuff you can buy in the store, and costs a bunch..

Buying the stuff in bulk, instead of pre-packaged makes it really cheap. Like 1¢/serving of rice, 6.8¢/serving of oatmeal, 39¢/loaf of bread, etc..
